End SARS: Gridlock In Lagos As Protesters Shut Down Lekki Toll Gate

End SARS protesters have shut down Lekki toll gate in Lagos, causing traffic jam on the Lekki-Ajah express.

This is coming after Inspector General of Police had scrapped the one of the police units, SARS.

After the scraping of the SARS, protesters listed their five demands from Nigerian authorities.

Parts of their demands from Nigerian authorities includes that the Police go beyond disbandment of the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The protesters want investigation and prosecution of all officers accused of murder and assault over the years.

For this reason, the campaigners announced on Sunday that workers and other commuters would be affected.

Meanwhile, the protesters have also petitioned to have the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and other senior officers banned from the United States, United Kingdom and others.
